In Gujarat's Dahod district, two tragic incidents unfolded, resulting in the deaths of five children. A woman allegedly jumped into a well with her four children in Vadbhet village, citing domestic distress.
While she and one daughter were saved, her two sons and another daughter drowned. The deceased were identified as Priyanka (12), Giriraj (5), and Rajveer (2), according to Dahod Superintendent of Police Ravirajsinh Jadeja.
In a separate city incident, a police constable's wife reportedly poisoned her two sons and herself. Avani Upadhyay's sons, Shlok (12) and Rudra (2), died after consuming poison, while her condition remains critical. Domestic tension linked to their son's mental health was cited as a potential cause.
