Carlsberg Expands PepsiCo Partnership Across Nordics and Baltics
Carlsberg will expand its strategic partnership with PepsiCo to include Denmark, Finland, and the Baltic states starting in 2029, replacing Royal Unibrew as the bottler. The deal extends Carlsberg's existing role as PepsiCo's bottler in Sweden and Norway. Royal Unibrew shares fell as a result.
Carlsberg announced on Tuesday its plan to extend its strategic partnership with PepsiCo to Denmark, Finland, and the Baltic states starting 2029, replacing Danish bottler Royal Unibrew in these markets.
Having been PepsiCo's bottler in Sweden and Norway for over 25 years, Carlsberg will now serve as the soft drinks company's bottler across the Nordics and Baltics, reinforcing its influence in the region.
This new agreement comes after Royal Unibrew's failure to renew its northern Europe partnership with PepsiCo, causing a significant drop in Royal Unibrew's shares. Meanwhile, Carlsberg's shares remained stable, unaffected by the changes.
