In a significant move towards enhancing financial inclusivity, the mortgage guarantee company IMGC has partnered with Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd (BHFL). This collaboration is geared towards expanding access to home loans for first-time and underserved homebuyers across India.
The partnership aims to blend IMGC's expertise in credit risk protection with BHFL's robust distribution and lending capabilities. This will help in extending formal housing finance to borrowers typically excluded due to limited credit histories or informal income sources.
As per a joint statement released on Tuesday, the initiative also seeks to bridge the credit gap in India's affordable housing sector, particularly for self-employed individuals and informal workers. Through mortgage guarantee-backed solutions, BHFL plans to offer enhanced home loan access while maintaining strict risk management protocols.
