During the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, a seminar titled 'Enabling Gujarat's Circular Transition: Policies, Partnerships and Pathways' was held, featuring key figures, including Forest and Environment Minister Arjun Modhwadia. The seminar highlighted waste management and circular economy initiatives as vital to both environmental conservation and economic progress.
Minister Modhwadia pointed out that waste, particularly from households, is now an energy resource. The state is committed to a circular economy, opening avenues for economic growth and environmental stewardship simultaneously. The aim is to make contributions worth $2 trillion by 2050.
Minister of State Pravin Mali reinforced the necessity of balancing industry and environmental protection using technology. The conference saw vibrant discussions among industrialists and experts, with a focus on setting Gujarat as a model in sustainable industrial development.
