Historic Spiritual Display: Sacred Relics Unveiled in Leh

In a significant spiritual event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed immense delight over the inauguration of the 'Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata' in Leh. Held on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the exposition is expected to attract thousands of devotees and tourists to the region.

The Prime Minister emphasized the historical and spiritual importance of the artifacts, which are linked to the Piprahwa Stupa in Kapilavastu. Unearthed in the late 19th century, these relics highlight the teachings of Lord Buddha. They offer a powerful testament to peace, compassion, and mindfulness.

As a traveling pilgrimage, the exposition allows remote communities in Ladakh to participate. It remains open in Leh until May 14th, after which it will move to Zanskar, expanding opportunities for public reverence. Additionally, the event is poised to bolster local economy and tourism, aligning with government efforts to preserve Buddhist heritage.
