Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has issued a strong plea to the Telangana government to expedite the paddy procurement process, describing the current sluggishness as detrimental to farmers facing unpredictable weather conditions.
In a public statement, Kumar accused the Congress-led government of negligence, highlighting the hardships farmers encounter at procurement centers amidst harsh heat, sudden rains, and hailstorms. He emphasized the Center's role in funding these procurement efforts but criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for not prioritizing this urgent issue.
Kumar urged the state government to purchase wet paddy without legal complications and called on the Chief Minister and other ministers to address this critical issue without delay, aiming to support the struggling farmers effectively.
