Panic swept across parts of Shimla following the discovery of a bomb threat poster targeting the SDM office and local court in Rohru, pasted along Bharari Road. Police officials have launched an investigation after registering an FIR at Sadar Police Station, leveraging CCTV footage and other evidence to track down the source.
Mehar Panwar, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Shimla, reported that an unidentified poster warned of explosives being set off at the Rohru court complex and SDM office. In response, officials evacuated the premises as a precautionary measure, with a bomb disposal squad and ample police presence ensuring security. To date, no suspicious objects have been found, but police investigations continue.
Authorities have cordoned off affected areas and controlled traffic on adjacent roads to prioritize public safety. Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur has called for calm, affirming the government's commitment to citizen safety and warning against spreading rumors. Shimla Police echoed these reassurances, appealing for peace and emphasizing the ongoing precautions.
