Fueling the Future: India's Path to Energy Security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for increased awareness and collective action toward fuel preservation and energy security, emphasizing the importance of responsible consumption and long-term sustainability. Reinforcing this stance, Mahindra Group CEO Anish Shah welcomed the call, citing it as an opportunity for India to accelerate the shift towards cleaner, more efficient energy systems.

Modi, addressing the nation on Sunday, proposed concrete measures such as reducing petrol and diesel consumption, increasing Metro rail usage, carpooling, adopting electric vehicles, using railways for parcel movements, and promoting work-from-home practices. These steps aim to conserve foreign exchange reserves affected by global supply chain disruptions due to the West Asia conflict.

In response, Shah reiterated Mahindra's commitment to electrification, renewable energy investments, and innovation to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. He stressed that genuine progress demands collaboration between the government, industry, and citizens to foster a resilient and energy-secure future for India.
