Exercise PRAGATI 2026 is set to take place at the Joint Training Node, Umroi, Meghalaya, from May 20 to 31. This multinational military exercise will witness the participation of regional armies from 12 nations, starting with the arrival of contingents on May 18. It demonstrates a commitment to professional military cooperation, mutual learning, and collective preparedness among the participating armies.

The Joint Training Node at Umroi, located in scenic Meghalaya, offers ideal conditions for military exercises, with a favorable climate, varied terrain, and jungle coverage. The facility boasts modern infrastructure, including a Joint Warfare Centre and specialized training ranges, providing ample opportunities for joint tactical training, planning, and operational concept validation. The comprehensive facilities are designed to enhance skills in command procedures, obstacle negotiation, and various drills.

The exercise will conclude with an intensive 72-hour drill. This final phase aims to consolidate the skills gained during training and displays the interoperability achieved by the participating nations. Senior military leaders, including Vice Chiefs and commanders, will attend to assess the exercise's effectiveness and explore future avenues for defense collaboration.
