In a significant expansion effort, Inox Clean Energy Ltd, a home-grown renewable energy firm, secured a major acquisition deal worth USD 750 million. The purchase includes 3 GW module and 3 GW cell manufacturing capacities from Boviet Solar, a leading solar module manufacturer in the United States.
The operational solar module capacity and the impending commissioning of the cell manufacturing capacity by year-end mark a strategic foothold for Inox Clean in the US market. The deal, facilitated through its subsidiary Inox Solar Americas LLC, promises economic advantages via the US government's domestic manufacturing incentives.
Executive Director Devansh Jain highlighted the opportune timing with growing US energy demand driven by AI and industrial advancements. Inox's expansion reflects its ambitious goals of achieving 10 GW of renewable energy IPP capacity and 11 GW of solar manufacturing capacity globally by FY28.
