In a sharp retort to Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy's critique of the Bidadi township scheme, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar underscored the political survival tactics at play. At a press briefing in Sadashivanagar, he remarked, "Criticism is vital for Kumaraswamy's political endurance." Shivakumar emphasized the project was originally initiated by Kumaraswamy.
Shivakumar addressed anticipated farmer opposition, stating, "Facing their disapproval is inconsequential." Emphasizing long-term gains, he challenged Kumaraswamy's past actions and expressed firm resolve to not de-notify land tied to the project. He questioned previous decisions and highlighted the statewide repercussions.
Criticism extended to national politics as Shivakumar linked rising prices to Modi's governance, critiquing economic policies. He voiced skepticism about practical life adjustments suggested by Modi to curb inflation. Congratulating Kerala's new Chief Minister, he pledged collaboration for public welfare. The state is also overseeing electoral roll revisions, ensuring fair representation.
