Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the first project under the state's integrated clean energy policy 2024, a Rs 3,000-crore 600 MW solar power project, is ready for commissioning.
The CM noted that the project developed in Rayalaseema region by Sustainable & Affordable Energy For Life (SAEL) in a record 11 months reflects speed, confidence and execution capability of the southern state.
''It is a matter of pride for Andhra Pradesh that the first project under our forward-looking Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 is now being commissioned,'' said Naidu in a post on X.
Our government is committed to positioning Andhra Pradesh as India's clean energy capital, with a target of attracting Rs 10 lakh crore in green energy investments over the coming years, he said.
Meanwhile, IT Minister Nara Lokesh posed on social media that SAEL's mega solar power project will be inaugurated at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district on May 22.
