Local people present at the spot intervened, stopped the youths, and alerted the Belthangady police station. The police immediately took the youths into custody and registered a case against them at the Belthangady police station.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Khader Altaf (36), Faizal Adil (27) and Usman Safir (18), all hailing from Kasaragod in Kerala.
Police said further legal action will be taken against the accused as per law.
