HDFC Mutual Fund Acquires Stake in Medanta's Parent Firm

Following the transaction, Global Health's shares closed up nearly 1% on the National Stock Exchange.
HDFC Mutual Fund made a notable acquisition on Monday, purchasing 10 lakh shares of Global Health, the parent company of the Medanta healthcare chain, for over Rs 122 crore.
The acquired shares, reflecting a 0.37% stake, were obtained from Medanta's co-founder, Sunil Sachdeva, through open market transactions at Rs 1,225 each.
Following the transaction, Global Health shares rose nearly 1% on the NSE. This strategic move comes in the wake of Global Health reporting a substantial 39.7% increase in profit for the fourth quarter of 2026.
