Jammu and Kashmir's police chief, DGP Nalin Prabhat, convened a crucial meeting at the Police Control Room in Kashmir to strategize security measures for the upcoming Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations and the Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.

The meeting, attended by senior officials from the J&K Police, CRPF, ITBP, and other security agencies, was centered on ensuring a peaceful festive atmosphere. DGP Prabhat highlighted the significance of flawless crowd management in mosques and significant venues, stressing the enhancement of security, public safety, and avoidance of overcrowding. He instructed officers to bolster surveillance, conduct inspections, and increase patrolling to address potential security threats effectively.

Participating officers provided detailed presentations on security logistics for the pilgrimage. DGP Prabhat stressed robust execution of SOPs and proactive threat prevention strategies. He emphasized vigilance and area control along pilgrimage routes, calling for Anti-Sabotage teams' deployment, advanced surveillance, and real-time monitoring to enhance threat detection capabilities. The meeting concluded with a united pledge by all agencies to ensure the 2026 Yatra's secure and successful conduct.
