The National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched a coordinated operation on Friday, conducting searches at 12 locations across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Maharashtra. The operation targeted suspects linked to a Pakistani operative involved in a cross-border terror conspiracy, officials reported.
Authorities identify the Pakistani operative as Jasvir Chaudhary, alongside Indian associates, in attempts to smuggle arms, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices via drone across the Indo-Pakistan border. Their plans allegedly aimed at orchestrating blasts in major Indian locations including Punjab and Delhi to induce significant chaos.
In a related development, the NIA filed charges against nine individuals, including two Pakistani nationals, for a November 2025 grenade attack on the Sirsa women's police station. The charged individuals, alleged to have coordinated attacks via social media, are under investigation for broader terror networks.
