Iran has urged FIFA to clarify the timeline for issuing tournament visas after relocating their World Cup training camp from Arizona to Tijuana. This move, prompted by diplomatic issues, poses challenges for Iran's national team, whose participation remains uncertain following tensions between the U.S. and Iran earlier this year.

The Iranian team recently secured a 3-1 victory over Gambia in a warm-up match in Antalya, Turkey. However, their training base's shift to Mexico, authorized by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, complicates preparations. Iran requires visas for group matches against New Zealand, Belgium, and Egypt, scheduled in Los Angeles and Seattle.

First Vice President of FFIRI, Mehdi Mohammadnabi, informed Reuters that Iran has formally requested FIFA to expedite the visa issuance process. FIFA proposed Tijuana as the new camp location, and Iran has since agreed. The team remains focused on training while awaiting administrative clearance.
