In a political firestorm, former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that he was not questioned during the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) searches at his residence. Vijayan confirmed he was present but emphasized, "Nobody asked me anything."
Addressing the media, Vijayan criticized the BJP-led central government for targeting non-BJP parties. He alleged selective action by the Congress against the ED, compared to more unified opposition leaders like M. K. Stalin and Arvind Kejriwal. "The Congress' strategy does not align with the nation's realities," he remarked.
The ED is investigating financial irregularities linked to his daughter's firm, Exalogic Solutions. Allegations include Rs 2.78 crore payments disguised as consultancy fees and questionable loans despite defaults. Raids unfolded in major cities, prompting protests leading to police intervention. Keralam's DGP announced legal measures against those attacking ED officials.
