Pune Rural Police have taken decisive action by suspending four officers after their alleged connections to Radheshyam Prajapati, who is accused of manufacturing illicit country liquor in Uruli Kanchan. This stern measure was implemented by Pune Rural Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Singh Gill, in reaction to the tragic deaths of at least 15 individuals who consumed toxic illicit alcohol in the jurisdictions of Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad Police over recent days. This has prompted an intensified crackdown on illegal liquor activities by law enforcement.

The accused, Radheshyam Prajapati, resides in Uruli Kanchan and the investigation has revealed that four police personnel were allegedly involved in communications with him. Preliminary investigations have suggested that the officers' actions deviated significantly from the expected discipline of police duty. Consequently, SP Sandeep Singh Gill has ordered the suspension of Ramdas Dnyandev Jagtap from Yavat Police Station, Subhash Balbhim Doifode from Daund Sub-Divisional Police Office, Ajit Shivaji Kale from Uruli Kanchan Police Station, and Sumit Nandkumar Wagh from Uruli Kanchan Police Station.

The suspension orders highlight concerns that these officers might try to influence witnesses associated with the case. As a result, they are required to remain at Pune Rural Police Headquarters during their suspension and are not allowed to leave without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority. These directives were issued by SP Sandeep Singh Gill to support the ongoing investigation and disciplinary processes.
