In an intense IPL 2026 showdown, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) emerged victorious over Gujarat Titans (GT), clinching back-to-back titles. Vikram Solanki, GT's Director of Cricket, admitted that while their schedule was demanding, he didn't want to excuse their defeat in the high-stakes final against RCB.

Despite adverse weather conditions delaying their arrival in Ahmedabad, Solanki dismissed concerns about its impact, emphasizing that post-match such factors become irrelevant. The Titans faced delays due to heavy rainfall in northern India, which left them with minimal preparation time for their third IPL final.

Solanki acknowledged that despite GT's spirited performance, they fell short, missing 20-25 crucial runs, and said it's important to recognize that RCB was the stronger side on the day. He praised his team's fight but extended hearty congratulations to RCB for their well-deserved victory.
