The Supreme Court has directed the Karnataka High Court to swiftly address pending petitions involving Embassy East Business Park Pvt Ltd. This ruling was made amidst a Special Leave Petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concerning an interim order issued by the Karnataka High Court.
A Bench consisting of Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Augustine George Masih emphasized that the High Court is expected to conclude these proceedings, acknowledging that a hearing is scheduled for June 5, 2026. The Supreme Court refrained from intervening in the interim order and requested that the petitions be resolved expediently, ideally by August 2026.
This legal dispute, rooted in land allocated by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board to Embassy East Business Park in Bengaluru, attracts interest due to Lam Research's involvement. The global semiconductor company has entered into a sub-lease arrangement and has recorded capital advances for potential developments on the site.
