Overnight Heroes: A Life-saving Military Mission

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Armed Forces Medical Services carried out a critical overnight mission to transport donated organs, comprising a liver and two kidneys, from Command Hospital in Pune to an army hospital in Delhi, officials confirmed on Saturday.

The organs, given by a brain-dead dependent of a serving soldier, were conveyed swiftly through inter-service collaboration. This mission underscores the military's dedication and commitment to saving lives, a senior official noted.

An IAF transport aircraft was employed to ensure the organs' timely arrival, exemplifying the armed forces' relentless pursuit of public service and their crucial role in healthcare logistics.
