The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore recently held its fifth annual healthcare leadership summit, Ayusmat 2025, emphasizing the future of Indian healthcare. Themed 'Healthcare 2030: Drivers of Disruption—Management, Machines or Markets', the summit was a hub for discussions on pivotal disruptive trends.
The event was spearheaded by the seventh cohort of the General Management Programme for Healthcare Executives (GMHE), a specialized course at IIMB for professionals in healthcare. Jawaid Akhtar, former additional chief secretary of health and family welfare for the Karnataka government, delivered the keynote address, outlining the impact of digitalisation and evolving patient care models.
The summit gathered a diverse group of stakeholders, including healthcare leaders, policymakers, technologists, and entrepreneurs, to deliberate on the industry's seismic changes. Key attendees included Prof U Dinesh Kumar from IIMB and Dr Amrut Kadam from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
