Arunachal Pradesh has posted impressive results in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), a flagship scheme by the Women and Child Development Ministry. Anjaw and Pakke Kessang districts have distinguished themselves by securing the top two positions nationally in terms of percentage enrollment progress.

The latest Union Women and Child Development Ministry report, released on July 25, highlights Anjaw district's achievement of a remarkable 354 percent of its indicative enrollment target, clinching the first position across India. Pakke Kessang closely follows with 313 percent, placing second nationwide.

This substantial progress has elevated Arunachal Pradesh's overall performance in the PMMVY rankings, propelling the state from the bottom tier to the sixth position among all states and union territories. However, districts like Shi-Yomi, Lower Subansiri, and Leparada have reported less than 10 percent progress, prompting intensified outreach efforts to ensure wide-ranging enrollment.
