In a significant stride for healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir, AIIMS Jammu has marked its first anniversary with remarkable achievements. The institute has provided treatment to over 2.6 lakh patients, showcasing the government's dedication to enhancing regional medical infrastructure.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu, established as the first such facility in the Union Territory, has set a national standard with the construction of 43 buildings within an impressive 3.5-year period, despite pandemic challenges. According to officials, AIIMS Jammu not only serves as a hospital but stands as a beacon of hope and medical knowledge.
Central to its success, AIIMS Jammu launched a high-end Transfusion Medicine unit and introduced a Green Smart Waterless Lab. Additionally, the exclusive Centre for Advanced Genomics and Precision Medicine has made it possible to conduct genomic tests locally, elevating the standard of patient care.
