Poisonous Seeds Land Nine Children in Hospital

Nine children from Yeriyur village, Chamarajanagara district, were hospitalized after consuming poisonous 'Maralekayi' seeds, according to police reports on Monday.

The children, whose parents are seasonal laborers from Maharashtra working on sugarcane farms, fell ill on Sunday after eating the seeds. They experienced vomiting and were rushed to the nearest healthcare facility for treatment.

Although they are now reported to be stable and out of danger, no formal complaint has been filed by the parents regarding the incident, police added.
