Following a devastating cloudburst in Kishtwar district, the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital has been at the forefront of relief efforts, admitting 75 patients for treatment. Tragically, one patient succumbed to injuries, while the condition of four others remains critical.
The sudden disaster in Chisoti village claimed the lives of 61 individuals, predominantly devotees, with over 100 injured and 50 missing. The hospital received 11 bodies and a body part, meticulously completing medical formalities before handing them to relatives.
Despite the challenges, GMC Principal Ashutosh Gupta commended his team for their unwavering efforts. Medical staff provided exceptional care, addressing both physical injuries and emotional trauma, ensuring no referrals to other institutions were necessary.
