In Rajasthan, chemists are planning a strike in response to allegations of significant irregularities in the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS). They claim that nearly Rs 880 crore in payments are pending, with over three lakh bills unaccounted for from the scheme's portal, according to officials on Thursday.

Vivek Vijayvargiya, president of the Rajasthan Chemist Association, stated that, despite numerous appeals, the state government has yet to address these concerns. As a consequence, chemists intend to strike to exert pressure on the authorities. Many chemists are reportedly experiencing financial challenges.

Sachin Goyal, the association's vice president, and secretary Ravi Gupta disclosed plans for a statewide protest. Although officials promised resolution within 21 days, payments have dragged on for months. Vijayvargiya added that several chemists are nearing financial collapse, unable to manage school fees or maintain their businesses.
