Kidney Racket Unveiled: Technician Surrenders as Investigation Deepens

Mudassar Ali, implicated in a large-scale kidney transplant racket, surrendered in court, bringing total arrests to 11. The police had launched a manhunt for Ali, who evaded arrest for two weeks while allegedly conducting over 30 illegal transplants.

According to investigations, Ali was a critical player in the illegal operations, reportedly taking part in crucial surgical procedures. Authorities claim he worked closely with a team, including another doctor and assistants, operating from various hospitals in Kanpur, before dispersing to avoid capture.

The racket came to light following a complaint from a donor over payment issues. This revelation led to a series of arrests, including five doctors and others connected to the racket. Ali's recent surrender may provide further insights as investigations continue.
