In a disturbing incident in Jharkhand's Godda district, police have arrested two individuals for the alleged murder of a three-year-old girl. The child's body was discovered in a well, prompting an investigation that led to the apprehension of Prem Murmu and Jarmen Soren.
The tragedy unfolded in Makudi village, where villagers reported suspicious activity near the well at night. After being informed, police arrived at the scene and detained Murmu. Under interrogation, Murmu confessed to the crime, implicating his associate Soren in the murder.
Both suspects were reportedly intoxicated during the incident, and while the motive remains undisclosed, authorities are concerned about potential sexual assault. The accused have been placed in judicial custody following an FIR registration.
