A nurse identified as Anita Meena was found dead under suspicious conditions outside the government's doctors' quarters in Udaipur's Kanod area, authorities reported Thursday.
Police revealed that her body was discovered on the stairs of Dr. Surendra Bijaraniya's residence, exhibiting neck injuries raising suspicion. The victim's family accused the doctor of murder, prompting police to detain him for further investigation.
Preliminary probes disclosed that the deceased had a personal connection with the doctor and resided with him recently. Meanwhile, police are exploring all possibilities, including murder and suicide, given the nurse's personal background, including marriage and two children.
