A deadly Russian drone attack rocked Ukraine's southeastern city of Dnipro overnight Thursday, claiming the lives of three people and injuring ten, including two children, according to Ukrainian officials.
The assault caused significant damage to a 13-storey apartment building, emergency services reported, and ignited multiple fires that impacted an administrative building, vehicles, and a shop. 'The Russians targeted a residential area while families slept,' stated Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk region council, on Telegram.
Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed on Telegram the recovery of another victim's body from the ruins, raising the death toll to three. Four individuals, including the injured children aged 9 and 14, are receiving treatment at a hospital. Photographs of the aftermath reveal the severe destruction, with a vast hole in the apartment building and charred remains.
