The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has stated there is no immediate sign of a widespread hantavirus outbreak.
During a press briefing in Madrid, the Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, underscored that the situation is fluid and that changes could occur given the hantavirus's extended incubation period.
Speaking alongside Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Tedros emphasized vigilance, noting that further cases might surface over the following weeks.
