In a candid appraisal, former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, G Parthsarthy, extolled the Indian Armed Forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their roles in the resounding success of Operation Sindoor.
The operation, launched on May 7, aimed at dismantling terror sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir, following a devastating attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. It resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists and targeted 11 airbases, delivering a significant blow to Pakistan's military infrastructure.
Parthsarthy criticized the Pakistani Army's leadership under Asim Munir, describing him as a 'fanatic' who misjudged India's resolve. He noted the internal strife within Pakistan's political landscape, attributing the unfolding crisis to the Punjabi-dominated army's actions. The operation was declared a comprehensive victory for India's combined military forces by senior commanders in a press conference, emphasizing a stark warning to Pakistan against future hostilities.
