Jammu and Kashmir experienced an unusual night of tranquility as no hostilities were reported between Indian and Pakistani forces along the Line of Control and the International Border. This welcome calm follows heightened tensions in recent days, Indian Army officials confirmed.

The Indian Army acknowledged this peaceful development in a brief statement on Monday morning, marking the first night without incidents after a period of escalated conflict. This break in tension comes after the implementation of 'Operation Sindoor' by India on May 7.

Operation Sindoor targeted terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir, aiming to retaliate against recent attacks. Furthermore, both nations have recently reached an understanding to halt all military actions across land, air, and sea. However, there were some reports of violations by the Pakistani military shortly after the agreement was announced.
