Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita engaged in productive discussions with New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister, Winston Peters, covering the breadth of India-New Zealand relations. According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, Margherita also met with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon during his official visit.

While attending the India-New Zealand Business Council Dialogue, Margherita delivered a keynote address and held talks with New Zealand's Minister for Trade and Agriculture, Todd McClay. He praised the Indian community in New Zealand for their contribution to bilateral ties during a visit to Auckland's Mahatma Gandhi Cultural Centre.

In Fiji, Margherita commemorated the 146th Girmit Day and held discussions with key figures including Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and President Ratu Naiqama Tawakecolati Lalabalavu. The visit saw the signing of a cooperation agreement and the inauguration of a Yoga Centre, aligning with India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific goals.
