Australia's High Commissioner to India, Philip Green OAM, praised yoga as one of India's globally recognized contributions, noting its growing popularity in Australia. Diplomats from various countries, alongside External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, gathered at Delhi's Nehru Park to celebrate the International Day of Yoga on Saturday.

In conversations with ANI, Green emphasized yoga as integral to India's culture and a valuable global practice. He remarked on its increasing prominence in Australia, expressing optimism that the International Day of Yoga would further enhance its popularity. Japan's Ambassador to India, Ono Keiichi, endorsed worldwide celebrations of the day.

The UN Resident Coordinator in India, Shombi Sharp, highlighted yoga's journey from ancient Indian roots to global recognition. He recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 2014 initiative at the United Nations General Assembly, which led to the worldwide embrace of Yoga Day. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar shared insights on social media, celebrating the inclusive nature of yoga.
