Canada Unites at National Conference Against Extremism

In a bid to address rising extremist threats, the Canada India Foundation orchestrated a National Security Conference in Woodbridge, Ontario, uniting influential voices to call upon Canadian policymakers to tackle extremism head-on. Ritesh Malik, chairperson of the foundation, emphasized the event's importance in preserving Canada's integrity.

Former Canadian Minister Ujjal Dosanjh highlighted the negligence of lawmakers in confronting extremism, particularly within the Indo-Canadian community. The gathering also honored the victims of the 1985 Air India bombing, with Sanjay Lazar advocating for educational initiatives to raise awareness about extremism's impact.

Journalist Wyatt Claypool criticized Canada's foreign policy stances, calling for a more decisive approach, while Danial Bordman expressed concern over radical elements infiltrating schools. The conference, in partnership with the Tafsik Organisation, underscored the critical need for collective action against extremist ideologies and foreign interference.
