Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted a symbolic link between India's landmark achievements in space and his diplomatic engagement with Africa. Speaking in Ghana, he reminisced about his presence in Africa during the Chandrayaan-3 moon mission landing and noted the ongoing experiments conducted by Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla aboard the ISS.

During his address in Ghana's Parliament, Modi recalled witnessing Chandrayaan-3's historic lunar touchdown while visiting Africa, and now Shukla's role on the ISS aligns with his current African tour. Shukla, part of Axiom Mission 4 launched on June 25, is the second Indian astronaut to venture into space, becoming the first to the ISS.

Emphasizing India's growth narrative, PM Modi lauded India's massive strides in innovation, startups, and technology, calling it a hub where global businesses converge. He also reaffirmed India's commitment to becoming a developed nation by 2047 as part of its inclusive development strategy. Modi pledged solidarity with Ghana on its path to progress.
