In a bid to fortify bilateral relations, Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. began his five-day official visit to India, arriving in New Delhi. His historic visit includes key discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
This significant state visit, as President Marcos is the first from the Philippines in over a year, highlights the commemoration of 75 years of diplomatic ties between India and the Philippines. President Marcos was greeted warmly by Indian officials, including Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita.
The itinerary includes a crucial meeting at Hyderabad House and discussions with various Indian dignitaries. An exchange of Memoranda of Understanding and press briefs will further mark the visit, reinforcing bilateral cooperation. President Marcos's visit follows an invitation extended by PM Modi.
