Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri's Diplomacy Mission: Strengthening Nepal-India Ties

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to arrive in Nepal on August 17 for a significant two-day diplomatic mission, as announced by India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This visit, at the behest of his Nepali counterpart Amrit Bahadur Rai, aims to bolster high-level exchanges between the two neighboring nations.

According to the MEA, the relationship between India and Nepal is one of enduring friendship and cooperation, characterized by consistent advancement across various areas. Highlighting India's commitment to its Neighborhood First policy, the visit is seen as an important step in prioritizing and nurturing these bilateral ties.

The visit's agenda includes discussions between Misri and Rai to enhance the Nepal-India partnership, with a focus on connectivity and development cooperation. In addition to these talks, Misri will meet senior political figures in Nepal to reevaluate and progress the bilateral relationship further. Misri's visit will conclude on August 18, marking another chapter in the ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration between the two countries.
