In a distressing turn of events, the rescue operation in Dalori Bala, a village nestled in the Gadoon Amazai region of Pakistan's Swabi district, has come to a somber conclusion. All 37 individuals reported missing following a catastrophic cloudburst have been accounted for, increasing the death toll to 42, as reported by The Express Tribune.

Having completed the search and recovery phase, local authorities are now pivoting towards providing relief and support for the devastated community. The early Monday morning cloudburst unleashed severe flash floods and landslides, causing widespread destruction, particularly in Dalori Bala, where 15 homes were completely wrecked and 25 others partially damaged.

Rescue operations, led by Rescue Swabi, Al-Khidmat Foundation, and the Pakistan Army, continued relentlessly for almost 60 hours. Devastation was compounded by massive boulders cascading from surrounding mountains, crushing homes and trapping residents. Disruption of essential services such as water, electricity, and communication has further complicated recovery efforts.
