A captivating photo exhibition held at the prominent Broken Chair Square, directly in front of the United Nations, unveiled the extraordinary progress of India's Northeast region. The event coincided with the 60th Session of the Human Rights Council and was organized by the India Water Foundation.

The exhibition attracted the attention of delegates, visitors, and the international community by highlighting the Northeast's emergence from relative obscurity to becoming a nexus of connectivity, culture, and economic growth. Arvind Kumar, President and Founder of India Water Foundation, remarked on the region's leaps in development over the last 15 years, citing Sikkim's milestone as India's first organic state and Mizoram's recent rail connectivity.

The exhibition underscored efforts to bridge the Northeast with the rest of India and Southeast Asia, conveying stories of resilience, empowerment, and newfound opportunities. Shweta Tyagi, Chief Functionary of the Foundation, noted the states' significant contribution to national and global development, transforming past perceptions of isolation into narratives of progress and innovation.
