Global Leaders Rally for PM Modi's 75th Birthday

Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he celebrated his 75th birthday on Wednesday. The Dalai Lama praised India's progress, noting how he has witnessed the nation's development as India's longest-staying guest. He acknowledged the global significance of India's achievements in recent years.

Highlighting India's democratic ethos and religious pluralism, the Dalai Lama called himself a 'proud messenger of India.' He praised the country's example of harmony and stability in the world and expressed gratitude for India's enduring support to Tibetans over decades.

Leaders globally joined in the celebrations, with Bhutan's PM Tshering Tobgay and New Zealand's PM Christopher Luxon, among others, sending their best wishes. Luxon highlighted Modi's vision for India's future, expressing New Zealand's desire to enhance bilateral cooperation. Former US President Donald Trump also conveyed his greetings, lauding Modi's efforts to resolve global conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine war.
