Acknowledging a 'decade of disasters,' Indian PM Narendra Modi, during a visit to The Hague, emphasized Indo-Dutch collaboration to create resilient supply chains. Faced with global crises like COVID-19, conflicts, and energy shortages, he urged swift action to prevent the reversal of development gains and a potential surge in poverty.
During a community program in The Hague, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for Indo-Dutch collaboration to establish robust supply chains amid global disruptions. His remarks came as part of a five-nation tour as he described the current era as a 'decade of disasters' beset by crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing conflicts, and energy shortages.
Modi insisted that if these challenges remain unchecked, it could reverse global development achievements and plunge significant sections of the world's population into poverty. Stressing the need for economic resilience, he praised efforts with the Netherlands to create a trusted and transparent future-ready supply chain.
The Prime Minister highlighted India's growing global influence, portraying the nation as technology and humanity-driven. Addressing the Indian diaspora, he shared India's strategic, economic, and cultural advancements while emphasizing India's dual commitment to technology and ancient tradition.
