Quad Reaffirmed: US Prioritizes Indo-Pacific Collaboration
The United States has reinforced the Quad as a vital element of its Indo-Pacific strategy, emphasizing collaboration on supply chains, energy security, and maritime domain awareness. This comes following the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi, chaired by key international leaders, underscoring the group's evolving, action-oriented approach.
The United States has reiterated its commitment to the Quad as a cornerstone of the country's foreign policy, with State Department Spokesperson Tommy Pigott emphasizing its significance in Washington's Indo-Pacific strategy. This announcement followed the conclusion of the Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in New Delhi, India.
According to Pigott, the Quad is evolving into a result-driven and action-oriented alliance. He highlighted several initiatives, such as building 'ports of the future' and strengthening supply chains, reflecting the US leadership's unwavering attention.
In their joint statement, the Quad partners outlined plans to boost energy security and enhance maritime domain awareness through initiatives like the 'Quad Critical Minerals Framework' and the 'Quad Initiative on Indo-Pacific Energy Security'. The grouping is also advancing maritime surveillance cooperation via the Indo-Pacific Maritime Surveillance Collaboration.
