Revanth Reddy Urges Telangana Congress to Bolster Constituency Oversight Before SIR Launch

Revanth Reddy has called for the Telangana Congress to strategically position party in-charges in each of the state's 119 Assembly constituencies and 17 Lok Sabha segments. This move aims to protect the electoral rights of eligible voters as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) commences in June.

During a Political Affairs Committee meeting, Reddy cautioned that SIR could potentially disenfranchise Lambada, Adivasi, and migrant communities, amongst other vulnerable groups. Concerns were also raised about the omission of votes from Dalits, minorities, and women. To counter this, Reddy emphasized regular visits to constituencies by appointed in-charges and necessitated district ministers to allocate time specifically for party duties.

Further, Reddy plans to engage directly with ground-level party workers to ensure effective implementation of these strategies. He aims to strengthen the party's readiness in addressing arising challenges related to the SIR and ensuring no voter is left unrepresented.
