Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed heightened security measures involving police, Coast Guard, and Navy to protect the state's coastline. The state of Maharashtra has ramped up its security protocols, with police, the Coast Guard, and the Navy on high alert, as confirmed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday. In an effort to bolster safety, all Standard Operating Procedures are being strictly adhered to.
Fadnavis announced that a review meeting focused on internal security would occur later in the day. This decision comes in response to a successful defense against Pakistan's recent attempts to target Indian military installations on the coastline.
The measures follow India's interception of Pakistani efforts to strike military stations in Jammu and other regions using missiles and drones. The situation escalated after India executed missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, marking a significant move in the ongoing conflict.
