Police announced the arrest of a domestic help and his accomplice for their involvement in a high-stakes theft of over Rs 1 crore from a residence in Shalimar Bagh. The incident unfolded when businessman Sanjay Aggarwal reported the missing sum and his absent servant, Anil Kumar, on May 6.
Following the report, law enforcement initiated a meticulous investigation leading to the capture of Anil during a Ghaziabad raid. Under interrogation, Anil confessed to the theft, implicating his partner, Deepak Kumar, in the crime. Authorities subsequently apprehended Deepak at a rented property.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Bhisham Singh confirmed that a significant portion of the stolen money—Rs 1.06 crore—was recovered alongside three bags and a briefcase. Police continue to investigate the matter to uncover further details.
