In light of the escalating India-Pakistan military tensions, the Gujarat government has made the decisive move to cancel all leave for its employees with immediate effect. This directive was announced by the General Administration Department on Friday, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the urgency of this measure in a public statement, which underscored that employees must promptly return to their duties and are prohibited from leaving their headquarters without prior authorization. This sweeping mandate affects personnel across all state departments, Boards, Corporations, and local governance bodies.
Additionally, Patel has stressed the importance of maintaining stability in essential commodity prices and has warned against hoarding or black marketing. This follows India's recent Operation Sindoor missile strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, a response to the Pahalgam attack earlier this year.
